Moroccan Parliament Passes Fuel and Privatization Bills
A vote was held in the Finance Committee of the House of Advisors on two legislative proposals related to capping fuel prices and re-nationalizing the La Samir company, without full participation from the majority of the government. This has raised questions about possible collusion and a desire to push through these laws before the 2026 election campaign begins. The issue is causing political controversy, especially as the opposition plans to discuss the amendments in the plenary session, amid concerns that these decisions could be used for future political purposes.
