Al-Zalzouli heads to America for treatment
Moroccan player Abdessamad Zeljouli suffered an injury during the friendly match between Morocco and Norway, which prevented him from participating in the 2026 World Cup. He is expected to begin treatment in France after leaving the training camp in the United States, and hopes to return to play with his team, Real Betis, by the end of the season. Zeljouli had hoped to participate and shine in the World Cup with the Moroccan national team, but he will be absent from the current tournament due to the injury.
