Oman to Reach 338 Postal Offices by 2025

The number of post offices in the Sultanate of Oman increased to 338 by the end of 2025, marking a growth of 19.9% compared to 2024. Muscat Governorate lead the list with 123 offices (36.4% of the total). Domestic express mail activity also rose by 25.9%, reaching 4.39 million parcels, while domestic postal parcels increased by 13.3% to 47,812 parcels. There was also a notable growth in governmental postal transactions, which totaled 75,840 transactions. Incoming international mail amounted to 3.04 million items, while outgoing mail reached 435,000 items. The number of outgoing parcels and business correspondence remained stable. Additionally, the total number of private mailbox subscriptions reached 24,300, mostly concentrated in Muscat Governorate, with a significant distribution among individuals and companies.
