15 women among 760+ candidates for local elections
The Ministry of Interior has announced the final lists of candidates for the fourth-term municipal council elections. The total number of candidates is 763, including 15 women. They are allowed to campaign through billboards, printed materials, media outlets, and social media platforms from the announcement of the lists until Election Day, using the "Intikhab" app and the official election website. The previous elections saw significant changes, including an increase in the number of registered voters, a shift in the age distribution toward older age groups, and a narrowing of the gap between women and men.
