Palestinian sources reported that 19-year-old Omar Mohamed Naji Al-NAssan was killed by Israeli occupation forces' gunfire during an attack carried out by settlers on the village of Al-Mughayer northeast of Ramallah. Dreams of studying at Birzeit University turned into a tragedy for Omar after he was shot during an assault on the village that resulted in the deaths of two children, Omar and Khalil Khalil Shuhada (16 years old). The Israeli forces attempted to storm the village and opened fire on residents who confronted the attack, leading to the martyrdom of the two individuals and injuries to others who were transferred to the hospital. The village of Al-Mughayer witnesses frequent assaults by settlers supported by the occupation forces, including attacks on homes, theft of livestock, and expansion of settlement activities. It is among the areas recording the highest escalation of Israeli violence against Palestinians since the beginning of the year, with 25 Palestinians killed since the start of 2026 as a result of settler attacks.
