The Israeli Ministry of Finance announced its intention to reduce the fuel (blue) tax on gasoline by 50 agorot per liter, aiming to ease the burden of rising prices on consumers. It is expected that Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich will sign the decision after the public comment period ends on Sunday, with the implementation beginning immediately at midnight between Sunday and Monday. This measure comes in the context of declining prices resulting from global market fluctuations, oil prices, and the dollar, after the price of 95 octane gasoline reached 8.09 shekels per liter in August, with the reduction expected to significantly lower the final price of gasoline.
