Ben Gvir proposes plan to force Palestinians from Gaza
A Israeli plan prepared by National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has been revealed, aiming to displace approximately 1.86 million Palestinians from the Gaza Strip over seven years. The plan, called "Decoupling 710," proposes evacuating around 250,000 Palestinians in the first year, eventually resulting in more than 80% of the area's population of about 2.2 million people being relocated. The plan includes an initial Israeli investment of $3.1 billion, with a financing framework reaching up to $15.6 billion, relying on international participation and the involvement of several countries. This plan is considered part of Ben-Gvir's electoral campaign, as he calls for the creation of a dedicated Ministry for migration and related implementation mechanisms, despite many countries expressing their refusal to host large numbers of Palestinians, which currently hinders the plan's execution.
