West Bank faces incursions and unrest
Reports indicate that on September 3, 2026, Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of raids and incursions in various areas of the West Bank and Jerusalem, resulting in the detention of at least 19 Palestinians, including prominent activists from the Fatah movement. Additionally, two children were shot with live bullets in Beit Fajar. The region also experienced an escalation in settler attacks, including the destruction of olive trees and assaults on homes. Meanwhile, settlement activity is expanding with the opening of a new settlement named "Ma'aleh Efrayim" south of the West Bank, aimed at strengthening settlement presence, amidst ongoing military and security escalation in the area.
