Kats: Disarming Hezbollah relies on controlling Ali Al-Tahir
Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz confirmed that gaining control over the "Ali Al-Tahar" heights in southern Lebanon represents an important step toward completing control over the security zone. This followed a complex operation that led to the clearing of Hezbollah tunnels from militants. He explained that the Israeli army continues to neutralize the tunnels and is preparing to prevent re-occupation of them, emphasizing that Israel will not withdraw from the area until Hezbollah is disarmed and the security of the Galilee residents is ensured. He reaffirmed that controlling the heights is part of the broader goal of reducing security threats.
