A report from the United Nations Human Rights Office has stated that Israeli forces forcibly displaced residents of three Palestinian refugee camps in the West Bank during January and February 2025, in violation of international law. The Israeli assault resulted in the destruction of hundreds of homes, significant damage to infrastructure, and obstructed access to humanitarian aid, leading to the displacement of more than 33,000 Palestinians. The report emphasized that the large-scale and systematic expulsions reach the level of a crime of forced displacement and may constitute ethnic cleansing. It called on Israel to end the occupation and halt the forcible removals. During these operations, 102 Palestinians were killed, including 21 children, and the Israeli army used illegal weapons that caused the death and injury of civilians, including women and children, amid increased military operations in the camps.
