Seven die in Syrian bus attack
Seven people were killed and four injured in a shooting attack on a bus carrying civilians in Homs Province, central Syria. At least one person was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Gaza. The attack targeted a bus carrying engineers and workers from a private electricity company, shortly after a gas pipeline exploded near a power station in the Damascus countryside. This reflects significant security challenges faced by the Syrian authorities since the fall of Bash Assad's rule. Investigations have also been launched to identify the perpetrators of the attacks, which are part of a wave of assaults and bombings in the region.
