British authorities report tanker attack in Strait of Hormuz
A vessel was attacked in the Strait of Hormuz by an unidentified projectile, leading to a fire on board, according to a report from the UK Maritime Trade Operations. The agency confirmed that the crew was unharmed, but the damages and environmental repercussions are still under investigation, with warnings for ships to proceed cautiously through the strait and to report any suspicious activity. This attack occurs amid escalating tensions between Iran and the United States and has caused significant disruption to the flow of oil, gas, and fertilizers through the strait.
