MacLimore tour tickets sell out quickly
American rapper MacLemore announced that tickets for the "Free Palestine" tour in Dublin, Paris, and London have sold out. The tour aims to support Palestine and raise funds for humanitarian organizations. It was organized quickly to express solidarity with Palestinians and to utilize art as a form of resistance. This tour comes after he was excluded from a UK artist Ed Sheeran's concert tour in America due to his pro-Palestinian stances, which sparked widespread controversy and protests from other artists who withdrew from the shows. MacLemore had previously stated that he would donate one million dollars of his earnings to support Palestinian humanitarian efforts. He used his songs in May and September 2024 to fund relief efforts, generating over $509,000 for UNRWA. The tour is part of using music as a means of support and resistance against occupation, with concerts scheduled to take place across Europe and America in the coming period.
