One-year-old escapes custody to find mother
A near-disaster occurred in the city of Pacu do Norte, Brazil, when a one-year-old child managed to escape from daycare alone and walked into a busy street filled with vehicles. The young boy, Leo, exited the daycare through the entrance gate and began walking toward his mother’s office, unnoticed by staff or security. This put him in great danger around 8:50 AM on September 25th, before he was rescued just in time to prevent him from reaching more crowded areas. The incident raised questions about safety procedures and supervision at daycares, especially considering that a child of this age cannot understand traffic dangers or protect himself.
