The "Bayt Al-Dam'a" initiative in the town of Zababdeh, Jenin, documents Palestinian traditional folk games to protect them from extinction by preserving and analyzing their history and stories linked to Palestinian regions. The games are categorized into three main groups: thinking games, motor skills games, and games that document depopulated cities and villages such as Acre, Haifa, and Safed, with each game linked to historical information or stories related to its location. The project aims to transform these games into a means of educating generations about Palestine's history and heritage, encouraging their digital archiving. Additionally, the initiative involves selling the games to promote their presence in homes and ensure their documentation. Developers are also seeking collaboration with universities and specialists to digitally preserve the games, keeping them alive within the Palestinian cultural memory.
