Palestinian Youth in Gaza and West Bank
The program "Issues in Citizenship" broadcasted on the Raya Media Network highlighted the situation of Palestinian youth in Gaza and the West Bank. It emphasized the challenges they face due to political and economic conditions, including divisions, wars, and economic crises that impact their opportunities to participate in decision-making. The participants pointed out that young people are innovating within the community and taking part in crisis management, but they suffer from superficial representation in the political arena and find it difficult to move from symbolic participation to genuine influence. They also stressed the importance of ending the national division, creating a safe environment, expanding youth participation in elections and policymaking, with the goal of building a united future beyond divisions. Additionally, they underscored the need to promote a culture of dialogue and social responsibility to achieve real and effective youth engagement in Palestine's future.
