Forecasted thunderstorms and impacted zones
The Kingdom is currently experiencing an unstable atmospheric condition resulting in the formation of thunderstorm clouds in the southern and eastern regions. Areas such as Aqaba, Rum, Al Dissa, Taif, and Maan are affected, with sometimes heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and hail. Strong gusts of wind may also occur, leading to dust storms. It is advised to stay away from valleys and ravines, exercise caution while driving, and seek shelter inside buildings during thunderstorms. People should also be vigilant for sudden floods and reduced visibility caused by dust. This situation requires ongoing alertness until dawn on Tuesday, as heavy rain and severe weather are expected to persist.
