US groups urge Congress to end military aid to Israel
American human rights organizations have urged members of Congress to pressure for an end to U.S. military support for Israel. They reject continuing this support in light of footage showing a Palestinian woman being burned inside her home in Gaza during an Israeli assault on a residence in the city, which resulted in at least one woman’s death. There are growing concerns about the ongoing U.S. backing of Israeli military operations in Gaza and the increasing suffering of civilians, especially women and children.
