Day two: Settlers target olive workers in Deir Jarir
Settlers, protected by Israeli occupation forces, attacked olive harvesters and their supporters in the town of Deir Jrir, northeast of Ramallah, today Saturday. They opened fire to intimidate them and prevent them from continuing the harvest, resulting in injuries to three citizens yesterday, Friday. The Israeli Resistance Committee against the Wall and Settlement monitoring body documented 34 incidents of assault on farmers and their lands from the beginning of the day until evening. These included attacks, detentions, thefts, and attempts to burn crops and equipment. Attacks on the olive harvest season in the West Bank are escalating, with increasing assaults on lands and farmers by settlers.
