Occupied lands face 40 attacks today
The Roundtable of Resistance to the Wall and Settlements highlighted the escalation by the occupation and settlers of their attacks on farmers and their lands during the olive harvest season. They documented 40 incidents of assault across Nablus, Ramallah, Salfit, Jenin, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, and Hebron. These included gunfire, beatings, arrests, expulsion from lands, theft of crops and equipment, and destruction of trees. The attacks resulted in injuries among farmers, including gunshot wounds and tear gas exposure, and led to the arrest of five individuals. Settlements also targeted olive harvesters, aiming to prevent them from accessing their lands, destroying trees, stealing agricultural equipment, and turning the olive season into a tool to pressure the Palestinian presence. The report called for protecting farmers, ensuring their safe access to their lands, and halting the ongoing assaults.
