An Israeli drone struck a phone-charging point on Friday in the Turkish Slaughterhouse area west of Khan Younis. The attack followed similar incidents that, according to residents’ accounts, have killed and injured people, including children. With electricity cut off, Gaza residents rely on these points to charge their phones, contact their families, seek help and follow the news—making this everyday necessity fraught with the risk of bombardment. Khadija al-Haj said she survived because she was a few minutes late getting to the targeted point.
