Hamad's Family Keeps Hope
Search operations are continuing for Jordanian citizen Hammad al-Zalam al-Balawi, known as “Abu Ibrahim,” after flash floods swept him away on Tuesday evening in a valley north of the Dead Sea as he tried to rescue his sheep. His family, Civil Defense teams and the Palestinian “Sand” team joined the search, combing areas he may have reached amid a belief that the waters carried him toward the western shore of the Dead Sea. The floods swept away about 350 sheep; only around 20 survived, according to his brother.
