Sixteen fatalities in South Africa bus accident

Sixteen people have died in a bus accident southwest of South Africa. The bus was carrying 78 passengers and was heading from Cape Town to Edewe. Authorities explained that the bus veered off the road to avoid a collision with a truck, leading to its overturning. The incident resulted in 15 deaths at the scene and the transfer of 20 others to the hospital. Despite the good road network, the country faces high road death rates due to speeding, reckless driving, and failure to adhere to traffic rules.
