Qatar and Arab nations endorse UK's settlement goods ban
Britain has announced a decision to ban the import of goods from illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories, a move which was welcomed by foreign ministers of several Arab and Islamic countries, including Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Pakistan, and Indonesia. They emphasized that this measure contributes to rallying the international community to take similar steps in accordance with international law and United Nations resolutions, including Security Council Resolution 2334 and the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice. They also renewed their call for Israel to revoke all measures related to settlement activities and considered that a two-state solution is the only path to achieve a just and lasting peace. Additionally, they reaffirmed that the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the occupied Palestinian territories and called for the implementation of the Trump plan to end the conflict there.
