Apple revealed its first foldable phone in history, the iPhone Duo, during its annual event on September 9, 2026. The device features a book-style design that opens to reveal a 7.6-inch Super Retina XDR internal display, with a 5.4-inch external screen. Its design strikes a balance between elegance and performance, relying on the A20 Pro chip and an efficient cooling system. It is equipped with a dual battery that supports up to 31 hours of video playback on the internal screen and 44 hours on the external one. The phone comes with a 48-megapixel rear camera, a 12-megapixel front camera, and supports 4K video recording. It has a titanium body with Ceramic Shield protection and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. The starting price is $1,999 for the 256GB version, with pre-orders opening on October 16 and the official release scheduled for October 23, 2026. It runs on a modified version of iOS designed to enhance multitasking and the use of both screens.
