Qatar's Role in West Asia Table Tennis
The West Asia Table Tennis Union saw a prominent Qatari presence during the Board of Directors meeting, which was held via video conference and was chaired by Prince Mohamed bin Abdulrahman Al Saud. Mr. Thani Al-Zaraa, a board member representing Qatar and the Secretary-General of both the Qatari and West Asian unions for the sport, participated in the meeting. This reflects the prestigious status of Qatari personnel within regional sports administration. He reviewed the results of organizing the West Asia Championship for national teams, held in Amman from August 12 to 19, which saw the participation of 10 countries and achieved great success. He also mentioned the early preparations for the West Asian Club Championship scheduled to take place in Madina in December, focusing on accelerating visa issuance and intensifying arrangements to ensure the event is conducted in a manner befitting the sport's regional stature.
