Iraqi Oil Minister Discusses Basra-Baniyas Pipeline
The article discusses Iraq's efforts to enhance its oil export capabilities through strategic projects, including negotiations with Qatari and American companies to build an oil pipeline between Basra and Baniyas. The goal is to expand export outlets and reduce dependence on the Turkish port of Ceyhan. The Iraqi Oil Minister also emphasized that production will not exceed 4.2 million barrels per day, with exports remaining steady at around 3 million barrels daily, while working on developing new refineries to attract investments. This comes as part of Iraq's broader strategy to diversify its oil export outlets and strengthen its position in the global market, alongside government projects aimed at increasing production and upgrading oil infrastructure.
