The United Nations has warned of an escalation in the demolition of Palestinian homes and properties in the Masafer Yatta area in the southern West Bank. Israeli authorities, over just a few days, demolished 20 houses and structures, including a water tank and solar panels, displacing around 60 people, half of whom are children. The remaining 30 residents are affected. Approximately 1,200 Palestinians live in the area across 13 communities that are facing increasing pressures to leave, especially amid rising violence from settlers and the establishment of settler outposts, amid donor support for construction projects.
