The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community to adopt a firm stance against the continued violations by the Israeli occupation in Jerusalem, especially the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by settlers and the Israeli police measures that restrict the access of worshippers. These actions are a violation of international law and an attempt to impose new facts on the ground. The ministry emphasized that the Jordanian Awqaf (Endowments) Department is exclusively responsible for all matters related to the mosque, warning of the repercussions of continuing these practices. It also stressed that Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian holy sites are not under Israeli sovereignty. Today, 480 settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque from the Mughrabi Gate and conducted Talmudic tours amid strict security measures by the occupation forces.
