Media Office Denies WaPo Qatar Mediation Claims
Qatar outrightly rejected the claims published by The Washington Post regarding coordination with Iran in energy production decisions, confirming that all these allegations are false and lack any basis. The media office clarified that Qatar has been handling security threats transparently, especially following Iranian missile attacks on its territory. The decision to declare a state of force majeure at Ras Laffan facility was made based on security assessments to ensure the safety of personnel. The statement emphasized that Qatar will continue prioritizing the safety of its citizens and residents, and that the media claims attempting to tarnish its image are inaccurate and carry the risks of misinformation.
