Sadaia Launches National Framework for AI Risk Management to Guide Government and Private Sector Entities

The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) has launched the National Framework for AI Risk Management, aiming to provide a unified methodology for identifying, assessing, and addressing AI risks that may arise during operation, which differ from traditional system risks. The framework is based on a lifecycle that includes context identification, risk assessment, and continuous monitoring. It is anchored in seven core principles: transparency, fairness, safety, accountability, with the goal of ensuring responsible and secure adoption of technology in line with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.
