The Saudi Football Federation referees committee has approved the mechanism for requesting non-Saudi refereeing crews for the 2026-2027 season. Clubs can submit requests through the MySAFF system without any set limit for matches in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup, the Roshen League, and the Super Bowl. Requests must be submitted at least 16 days prior to the match. It is allowed to accommodate two requests for the same game, with cost sharing between the clubs. Options are available to request foreign referees with crews consisting of 4, 5, or 6 officials, at costs of 240,000, 300,000, and 360,000 Riyals respectively. In cases where referees are unable to arrive due to force majeure circumstances, Saudi referees will be appointed to manage the match. Clubs have the right to cancel their request at least 7 days before the scheduled game.
