Blackstone, the global asset management firm managing assets worth $1.35 trillion, plans to open an office in Kuwait during the third quarter of this year to strengthen its presence in the Gulf region, especially amid rising geopolitical tensions in the area. This move is part of the company's strategy to expand in the Gulf region, with plans to open new offices next year, amid increasing competition from global investment firms vying for the Kuwaiti market, despite the heightened security risks posed by Iran's threats and regional conflicts. Experts affirm that Kuwait possesses the resources and vision to become a major commercial and financial hub, and Blackstone's investments support efforts to diversify the country's economy. This comes alongside growing large-scale investments, such as the $16 billion oil pipeline deal, which is the largest in Kuwait's history.
