Riyadh links to Hail tourist sites
The General Authority of Roads in Saudi Arabia has launched projects to develop the road network, which now exceeds 73,000 kilometers in length. This has contributed to the Kingdom's leading position globally in the road network connectivity index, according to reports from the Global Competitiveness Forum. The goal is to strengthen connectivity between cities and support sectors such as tourism. The Hail Region, a major mountainous tourist destination, boasts an advanced road network spanning over 5,566 kilometers, including a fast track connecting it to Riyadh, stretching 620 kilometers via two main routes. One of these routes reduces travel time to six hours by passing through the governorates of Al-Zulfi, Buraidah, and Shanan. This facilitates access to the region's historical and natural sites, which are known for archaeological remains, petroglyphs, diverse natural landscapes, and a rich history rooted in ancient trade routes.
