AI in Education Drives Kingdom's Leadership

Saudi Arabia has demonstrated a significant leap in integrating artificial intelligence into its education system in less than two years. It has incorporated a mandatory curriculum at the K-12 level, prepared tens of thousands of teachers, and developed a national system for performance measurement and quality assurance. The country also achieved outstanding international results, including leading its students to victory in the global AI competition (WAICY 2025) and the Qassim University winning a global award for its AI-powered educational platform. Furthermore, 79% of Saudi universities have incorporated AI courses, with more than 30 universities making this specialization mandatory for all students, reflecting the Kingdom’s ambition to become a global leader in responsible innovation in this field.
