Sudan Army Moves Toward Darfur
The Sudanese army forces, supported by armed movements and popular resistance, launched a wide-scale attack in North and West Kordofan states aimed at regaining control of areas held by the Rapid Support Forces. The operations resulted in the recapture of the city of Barra, the seizure of weapons warehouses, and the liberation of strategic roads connecting the capital to the western states, thereby strengthening military control and weakening the Rapid Support Forces' ability to move between Kordofan and Darfur. It was also confirmed that the operations will continue towards the Darfur region, with increasing losses among the Rapid Support Forces, and successful coordination among the field units.
