Amak Q2 profit falls to 34.66M Riyals
The profits of Maaden Aluminium Company "Maad" declined by 52.55% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2026, reaching 34.66 million riyals compared to 73.05 million riyals in the same period of the previous year. The main reason for this decrease is a reduction in gross profit by 45 million riyals, along with an increase in general and administrative expenses, despite a decrease in trademark fees. Sales also fell by 8.35% to 236.97 million riyals, due to the temporary suspension of the processing plant, even though prices of copper, zinc, and gold rose. In the first half of the year, the company's profits amounted to 94.76 million riyals, a decrease of 26.13% compared to the previous year, mainly due to lower sales volumes and higher expenses, despite the high metal prices.
