Bitcoin fluctuates as sentiment drops and oil rises
Bitcoin prices fluctuated between gains and losses, rising by 0.3% to reach $63,968.5 after the Federal Reserve decided to keep interest rates unchanged at 3.50%-3.75% to continue combating inflation. This decision came despite rising concerns and declining investor sentiment toward high-risk assets, along with rising oil prices. The Fed’s decision was made amid internal divisions within the committee and increased tensions in the oil market following intensified American strikes against armed factions in Iraq, adding more uncertainty about the future path of interest rates and financial assets.
