Saudi Arabia emphasizes Jerusalem protection for peace
Saudi Arabia emphasizes that protecting Jerusalem is a fundamental pillar for achieving a just and lasting peace in Palestine. It condemns all unilateral Israeli measures in Palestinian territory, considering them invalid and without legal effect. This comes amidst a widespread escalation on the ground in the West Bank, where extensive incursions have taken place into Qalandia Refugee Camp and the Matar neighborhood, along with arrests and raids in various Palestinian areas. Israeli forces have deployed dozens of vehicles and issued directives indicating possible expansion of military operations to include new camps. This escalation represents a deterioration of humanitarian and security conditions, with continued occupation and assaults amid fears of an expanding confrontation, especially as the war on Gaza continues.
