The article refers to the Arab and Islamic ministerial meeting held in Amman to support occupied Jerusalem. The participants emphasized that Israeli policies attempting to change the city's identity and judaize it are invalid and constitute a violation of international law. They affirmed that East Jerusalem is part of the occupied Palestinian territories, with no sovereignty for Israel over it, and that Al-Aqsa Mosque, in its entirety, is a place of worship exclusively for Muslims. They also condemned Israel's violations of Islamic and Christian holy sites. Furthermore, they called on the international community and the Security Council to take immediate action to halt Israel's illegal measures. They rejected any unilateral decisions related to relocating embassies or opening diplomatic missions in the city. The initiative aims to establish a unified international stance to halt Israeli escalation, including launching a mechanism to document violations and support the resilience of Jerusalemites, particularly during an upcoming meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League on the margins of the United Nations General Assembly in September.
