King Abdulaziz Quran Competition Launched
The 46th edition of the King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorization, Recitation, and Tafsir of the Qur'an has been launched in Mecca, under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. The competition is participating with 334 contestants from 133 countries, marking the highest participation since its inception more than 40 years ago. The contest includes five categories: memorizing the entire Qur'an in the seven recitations, Tafsir, with prizes totaling over 10.26 million riyals—the highest in the competition's history. For the first time, the final rounds and closing ceremony were held at the Holy Mosque for women, with comprehensive arrangements for cultural activities and human interactions, aiming to promote love for the Qur'an and enhance the global competition in serving the Holy Book.
