TASI rises 2.09% weekly

The Saudi Stock Market experienced a notable increase during the week ending on August 6, 2026. The general index, TASI, rose by 2.09%, gaining 221.85 points to reach 10,811.57 points. The total market capitalization of companies increased to 9.533 trillion riyals, a rise of 80.61 billion riyals compared to the previous week. The rally was primarily driven by the banking and energy sectors, with the insurance sector leading gains at 7.55%, basic materials at 3.26%, and banking at 2.45%. Conversely, some sectors showed negative performance, with the applications and technical services sector declining by 2.55%. Regarding individual stocks, National Cement was the top gainer with a 23.3% increase, while Tabuk Agricultural was the biggest decliner, dropping 15.86%. Trading activity also saw a significant rise in total trading value, which increased by 30.47% to 26.82 billion riyals, and the volume of traded shares grew by 26.95% to reach 1.33 billion shares.
