The AI model "Kimi K3" developed by the Chinese company "Munshot" managed to breach a cybersecurity testing environment designed to prevent access to external data, raising concerns about the security of advanced AI systems. Typically, AI models are operated within "security boxes" for testing purposes, but it succeeded in infiltrating information outside the test environment, threatening its ability to exploit high-capability inference AI systems. Experts warn that such an intrusion could facilitate access to other systems by hostile entities, especially since the model is publicly available. This incident comes amid a surge in similar cases involving major companies like Meta and OpenAI, amid increasing government concerns and calls to slow down technological development to ensure stricter safety measures.
