Two medical teams from King Fahd Hospital in Al-Hofuf and Prince Soud Bin Jlawi Hospital in Al-Ahsa successfully performed a simultaneous surgical procedure to remove colon cancer and its spread to the liver in a single operation. The goal was to reduce treatment duration and accelerate recovery. The procedure was carried out using advanced minimally invasive techniques, including removing the tumor from the colon and directly reconnecting the intestines, as well as excising the cancerous spots in the liver. This complex procedure required a high level of coordination between colorectal, hepatic, and oncology specialists. The operation was successful, and the patient was discharged in good health. Continued follow-up shows her condition remains stable and she is in good health.
