The Saudi Ministry of Sports announced the completion of the second phase of transferring ownership of shares in the non-profit organizations of Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahli, Al-Hilal, and Al-Nassr clubs to the Public Investment Fund, following the completion of the necessary regulatory procedures. The first phase took place in 2023, during which the Fund acquired 75% of the shares. Now, the remaining 25% has been transferred, making the Fund the sole owner of these companies. This step aims to unify club ownership, strengthen governance, ensure sustainable growth, and attract investments, as part of efforts to reform the Saudi sports sector and create more sustainable ownership models.
