The Saudi Ministry of Energy launched the first edition of the Energy Hackathon under the slogan "Ignite Your Ideas," held from October 7 to 9 at the Capsark Center in Riyadh, under the patronage of Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman. The hackathon aims to develop innovative solutions to support the future of the energy sector, focusing on six challenges spread across three main tracks, including improving operational efficiency, developing smart fuel stations and hydrogen storage technologies, and intelligent grid management. The event provides an inspiring environment that includes workshops and mentorship sessions, along with empowerment programs for outstanding projects after the competition. It coincides with the 25th edition of the World Petroleum Conference, aiming to strengthen Saudi Arabia's presence in the energy sector and achieve the goals of Vision 2030. Registration is open until September 16 through the Energy Hackathon online platform.
