QSD to incorporate Kurdish entities into Syria
The commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, announced the completion of the integration of Kurdish civilian and military institutions into the Syrian state institutions. This comes after approximately eight months since signing an agreement with the Syrian presidency in January. The announcement follows negotiations and military escalation between the two sides and underscores that the Kurds have become part of the political solution in Syria, with efforts underway to secure the rights of all people in accordance with the constitution. This achievement marks the end of a phase of Kurdish aspirations related to autonomy, which had waned following reduced U.S. support.
