Greece receives around 200 migrants
Approximately 200 undocumented migrants arrived on the Greek island of Chios in the past 24 hours, most of them from North Africa. This brings the total number of migrants who have arrived in Greece since the beginning of the year to over 22,000, compared to around 49,000 migrants throughout all of 2025. Authorities also found 39 people on the beach of Crete, rescued 49 others from a small boat south of the island, in addition to rescuing 21 people off the coast of Rhodes and 4 on the island of Pserimos, as part of their efforts to confront irregular migration flows.
