Oil Extends Gains for Second Week
Oil prices continued to rise during early trading, heading for a second consecutive week of gains. Brent crude futures increased by four cents to $93.82 per barrel, after a 2.4% rise in the previous session. Meanwhile, US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) futures fell by six cents to $86.78, following a 2.3% increase yesterday. Over the past five days, Brent has gained more than 7%, and US WTI has risen over 8%, reaching their highest levels since July 24th. These upward movements reflect ongoing pressures on energy supplies, as the market remains on track for a second week of gains, amid expectations of policy impacts and supply developments influencing oil prices.
