Saudi interior design market grows 8.5%

The interior design market in Saudi Arabia experienced rapid growth over the past year, with annual increases ranging between 6% and 8.5%. New projects accounted for more than 60% of the market, and 34.5% of the revenue comes from the hospitality and entertainment sectors, driven by the expansion of Vision 2030 projects as well as the housing and hospitality industries. The market is closely linked to the development of the real estate sector, with an increasing demand for Saudi designers—especially female designers—due to their skills and understanding of local culture. Currently, there is a focus on improving the quality of materials and enhancing local production competitiveness, amid rising consumption of modern technologies and high-quality design services. The cost to design a standard 200-square-meter apartment ranges from approximately 40,000 to 60,000 SAR, while the full project costs can exceed one million SAR in luxury developments. Ultimately, this growth opens significant opportunities for local talents and entrepreneurship within the sector, supported by Vision 2030 projects and the kingdom’s developmental expansion.
